Working with the spirits

I was reading my blog and thought I should follow up on some things I've been doing.
First, I have passed my prelim exams. The ones I had to retake because I failed have all been completed. Yeah!
Second, I have found a lovely tea for Morgan Le Fey. We generally have a cup of tea together once a week. Get this, it is from the Republic of Tea and it is called the Tea of Mystery (Lapsang Souchong). There is something about sipping mystery with Morgan Le Fey that sounds right.
Third, I'm trying to learn to smoke this pipe. The Fairy King has challenged me with doing this. I'm no smoker and the good news is I don't have to inhale. Do you know how hard it is to keep a pipe lit? This is the lesson in some ways. How do you sustain the fire? I've also been reading about sacred pipe smoking at the suggestion of my friend Sage. One of the things I've discovered is that there are pipe carriers who play a significant role in native tribes by being blessed with this tribal/priest job. The other thing I've discovered is that Native Americans believe that the smoke creates a connection between the spirits and the humans. Much like in Tibetan Buddhism, where the spirits ride the smoke. What I find interesting is when I puff and realize that the smoke I'm creating allows the spirits to ride into my own breath.
We have started an Iron Pentacle class. This is one of the Reclaiming Core classes. I've been doing a lot of mirror work with this around my name and who I am right now. It is a great journey.
So, that's a quick check in.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PRELIMS!!! Ya HOO!
Pipe...probably you are still getting nicotine even if you don't inhale. That's how chewing tobacco and snuff works. Alcohol gets absorbed in the mouth, I'm sure other things do too. Be careful.
