Studying for Prelims

Well, June 25th and 27th are fast approaching. I have two days of exams. There is a study group that has started and we are meeting for two hours on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. It's a bit difficult, because I'm finding myself thinking very differently than the four others in the group. I find myself really trying to grasp the big picture and working down, eliminating the stuff that doesn't connect to the big picture. I don't know, I feel like I'm wrong, but then I think, "No. You're not wrong, just thinking about things differently." The reality is both perspectives will help me in the long run.
Last week was swamped at work. I had a fabulous meeting of all three 10 Year Plans to End Homelessness, County and City officials, and a few other leaders. It was good. This week has been a bit slower, thank goodness.
I'm also starting to collect data for this Board Project I'm working on that I'm getting credit for. Jeez. Can I pack it in any tighter??
The dining room floor finally got scraped clean. The tile on it had to be scraped away and it took me over the course of two weekends to get that accomplished. Now I have to finish the painting and decide for certain what kind of flooring I'm going to put down.
Whew!
Life is full and good. For that I'm thankful.

Hi Stan! I've been struggling with group projects during my yoga teacher training because like you, I go for the big picture first. Often, we have only 15 minutes to complete a task, and some groups are literally unable to complete because they become so bogged down in the minutiae, they run out of time. "good", "bad" or "indifferent", I still want to finish the task and get on with it. 8-)
Miracles of modern technology, I got interviewed over the phone by a woman in Hawaii, for a podcast on breathing. Here's the link in case you'd like to check it out:

We're still home remodeling, so I feel you on the floor scraping.
