FO

I finally finished the vest I've been working on for at least a year. SIGH. At some point, it had to go into time out for bad behavior, but I finished it up this week. Oh yeah! It is a bamboo blend.

Some spring flowers in my yard

Spring flowers throughout the yard. The purple ones are violets. This is the week for the beautiful red bud trees and their blooms too.

Astrological thoughts on Spring

I was catching up on blogs this morning, and this if from Beth Owl's Daughter's blog on March 21. It is worth repeating. These are her words, not mine.

My friend, Chapel Hill astrologer Lynn Hayes, writes, “The Libra Full Moon will move into position to square Mars and Pluto as it opposes the Sun, forming a Grand Cross. The next few days will be a powerful time, and the energy of this time will spill over into the next few weeks and possibly months. It's very important now, in this time of great power, to be aware of the energy that we are sending into the world. Everything is amplified now, and each small event ripples into a greater event that has far-reaching consequences.”

We all contribute to the so-called Butterfly Effect, especially during the early hours and days of the new astrological period. And evidently, this Grand Cross is full of potentially explosive energy that we will observe playing out in the days ahead. Astrologer Robert Wilkinson notes, “The Full Moon brings the seed of the New Moon to fruition, and what has been building for two weeks will now be demonstrated into mid-April…

“We have all received ‘a communication’ of some sort. showing where we need to be obedient. Now it's time to synthesize, putting it all together in a new view. Re-shape your expectations and beliefs as you get a broader, more integrated view of things, figure out basic steps to take to secure what's already in motion, and forgive a lot. It's the end of the end and the beginning of the beginning, so take a deep breath and move into the future with good humor.

“Find the central anchor to help you reference your core as many things swirl around, and don't fumble the deep truths you glimpse. Be self-disciplined as you go deeper into your core, maintain self confidence even though it could get weird or obscure at moments, avoid extremes, channel your enthusiasms, and don't get aggravated when too much is going on. Just learn how to extricate yourself from getting overwhelmed by sensitivities, maintain perspective and a balanced point of view, and be dispassionate as you teach from your experience.

“This is about knowing how and when to wait in calm confidence, busting any illusions and being willing to face things as they really are. Fortify your bodies and minds with good food and good cheer, get a clear vision of a plan, and get ready to act when the time is right. Spring is here, and we will all find a measure of peace and well-being in the near future.”
